Former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway struck a nerve with some audience members during her appearance on “The View,” while making a jab at President Biden saying that he was “stuck in the basement” throughout the 2020 presidential election. Whoopi responded differently than normal when the audience booed.

Whoopi Goldberg actually scolded some of the audience members for booing, which came to many as a surprise, but it seemed like Goldberg was trying to act all grand considering how many times Whoopi Goldberg suffers a meltdown on video.
Conway was asked by co-host Sunny Hostin if she would agree that former President Trump lost both the popular vote and the Electoral College vote in 2020, and she responded: “It’s pretty obvious that Joe Biden is the president. I can’t believe we’re still talking about this, respectfully.”
This led the co-hosts to begin talking over each other, and then Conway described how she was “the closest person” to Trump to tell him that he “came up short.”
“It broke my heart. I wanted him to get re-elected. I only wish that the people who were in charge of his 2020 campaign, with the 1.4 billion dollars that they wasted, had won outright and overwhelmingly. He should have won huge.”
She also added that “he had all these accomplishments, he’s running against a guy stuck in the basement, and you’re in the middle of the pandemic…” when she got cut off as the audience began to boo and Hostin attempted to interrupt, as reported.
After Goldberg halted the conversation, she then turned toward the audience.
“Let me do something before you say anything else. Listen, this is ‘The View,’ and this is her view, and she’s talking about how she feels and what she knows. Please don’t boo her,” said Goldberg and the audience began to clap.
“I think they’re booing Biden sitting in the basement,” Conway added as a joke.
More recently, Whoopi Goldberg lashed out at Senators who say “thoughts and prayers” following a tragedy. Goldberg threatened to punch someone if she heard it again.
Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of ‘The View,’ has now threatened violence if she hears another Republican senator say their heart was broken or mention “thoughts and prayers.”
Whoopi Goldberg was reacting to the sad news of a school shooting that happened in Uvalde, Texas, at Robb Elementary School, where at least 19 students and two adults were shot dead. The shooter, an 18-year-old, was also shot dead by a border agent who rushed into the school.
Goldberg was talking about how she’s tired of hearing politicians give “thoughts and prayers” and she specifically mentioned Republicans during her response to the shooting tragedy.
She used a video clip of Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) calling for gun control within hours of the shooting — and he ended his emotional speech with a question, saying “what are we doing?”
Whoopi said: “So that’s the question. What are we doing? Because we’re – why are we always at square one with this? And I swear to God, if I see another Republican senator talk about their heart being broken, I’m going to punch somebody.”
“I can’t take any — thoughts and prayers. If your thoughts and prayers really were with everybody, you would have done something by now,” Goldberg insisted, adding, “What the hell is going on?
Joy Behar chimed in asking for people to stop gaslighting her and commented on mental illness.
Joy said: “I want them to stop gaslighting me also… Stop saying it’s not guns that kill people. It’s people that kill people. It’s guns that kill people, okay? Stop saying the opposite… There’s mental illness in every country in the world, and they don’t have this problem. So stop gaslighting me on that one, and stop saying that you can have a good guy stop a bad guy with a gun… We have seen in both of these shootings in the past three weeks that a good guy tried and could not do it.”
Bill Melugin of Fox News reported on Twitter: “NEW: Border Patrol sources tell me an elite BORTAC Border Patrol agent is believed to have shot and killed the gunman at Robb Elementary School today. I’m told he entered with a tactical team while TX LEOs were engaged w/ barricaded shooter. Agent was injured.“
