Rose McGowan calls out Democrats and media “cult” practices for how they’ve dealt with Tara Reade’s case. The #MeToo activist and feminist said that the actions of the elite press towards Democrat lawmakers. McGowan called out the ignored and rebuked cases of the victims of the party representatives. Tara Reade’s story when she was still a Senate staffer resonated with McGowan, and the man in question is none other than former Vice President and now presidential hopeful Joe Biden.

In a report by Breitbart, McGowan posted a tweet on Wednesday. Her caption was, “I’m really sad, and I’m really tired. I normally share thoughts, but tonight, it’s emotion.” The letter’s contents gave details of how she lost her faith in Democrats and media outlets that are heavily left-wing. This included the New York Times and Washington Post, two media outlets that rose during the rise of the #MeToo movement.

Tara Reade’s accused Biden of violating her in 1993 when she was still a staff member. A Larry King Live segment resurfaced, allegedly showing Reade’s mother, who talked about her daughter’s trauma. Out of all the #MeToo actress advocates, McGowan is the only one who remained consistent in supporting victims as shown by her support for Reade.

In her screenshotted letter, McGowan wrote,

“I used to be a proud Democrat. I used to be a proud America. I would have died for this damned country and its ideals. I was raised to be a proud Democrat. When my youngest brother graduated as a fighter pilot at the Air Force academy. I wore a Vote John Kerry pin (lol,) got into a verbal altercation with big who were mad I was a Democrat. They were twice my size, and I had to listen to GW Bush give the keynote address, and John Ashcroft sing his terrible eagle song. I lost count of GWB saying ‘terrorism’ at 47 because that’s what cult leaders do, and it gets boring. All because I thought democracy meant was I had a right to choose those who lined up with my values system. But what if there’s no one? And I was always told it was the Democratic Party that were the good guys, that our papers were New York Times & the Washington Post and we as a family loved listing to All Things Considered and we’d talk about how much we loved Ira Glass’ voice. But now I know too much. And I feel really quite a sense of loss tonight. I am not a cynical person, but America goddamn. Republicans have always been painted as the bad guys, and I’ve always seen them more as a cult, but now I realize so are the Democrats and the media. Macro and micro. This is deeper than a cover-up. And I’m sad because there’s death around all corners and shadows in the daytime. It hurts.”

This letter comes after McGowan told Joe Biden to end his presidential campaign. Her tweet last Saturday read, “Fellow citizens, use your power, use your social media voice. Tweet at Joe Biden to end his campaign effective immediately.”

With Reade’s accusations receiving attention, McGowan’s voice became louder. She not only came after the Democrats and media, but she also went after self-proclaimed feminists. Last week, the actress said, “F*ck you to the silent media, f*ck you to women’s groups, Gloria Steinem & f*cking take ass Oprah, f*ck you. All of you crow about your braver, yet you do nothing.”

McGowan once again called out the New York Times. Earlier this month, she said that the publication was heavily expressing “favoritism” and “utter hypocrisy” in their handling of Republicans like President Donald Trump and Democrats like Biden. She said, “Yes, you go after the reprehensible Trump, but leave Biden accusations alone? You are the problem.”

McGowan’s latest tweet was posted a day after Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama endorsed Biden’s campaign. It’s evident that this is only the beginning, McGowan will continue this until Reade’s given justice.
